Cortico brings people together in recorded small-group conversations to share life experiences, amplify underheard voices, and guide informed action.
Here is a glimpse into our process:
Community Listening
Capturing experiences
Our approach is rooted in facilitated small-group dialogue that gives every person a chance to speak and be heard. Fora conversations can be hosted and recorded in-person and on desktop.
The Cortico team can support you in mapping out your conversation prompts, onboarding community facilitators, and developing language to reach out to your community members.
Once you have an audio file, you will then upload it onto Fora where it will be transcribed within 24-48 hours. From here, you will be able to edit the transcript and view concepts and themes that were surfaced in your conversations.

Sensemaking
Intuitive qualitative analysis
Sensemaking is our human-led process that leverages AI tools to make sense of conversations—resulting in community-powered, nuanced analysis at scale.
Insights
Once you have highlighted your conversations, you can import these excerpts into our Insights workspace where you will engage in two steps:
- Creating a Codebook: A codebook contains the codes you will use to tag highlights.
- Tagging Highlights: By tagging, we begin to make sense of the patterns, themes, and recurring ideas by seeing how strongly the codes are tagged.
