If you are relying on our auto-generated machine transcription services, you may need to edit the transcript to accurately reflect what was said in the conversations and who was speaking.
If you notice that the transcript has assigned a voice to the incorrect speaker, you will able to edit that assignment by first entering edit mode.
Entering edit mode
From a conversation page, click the Transcript tab. Click Edit
Speaker name changes
Click on a speaker name. In the pop-up box, type the name how you want it to appear on the transcript. To apply this change to one specific name, just press Enter on your keyboard. To apply this change to all to all instances of that name in the transcript, click the checkbox next to "Update all to" then press Enter.
Your edits will automatically sync. To be sure your edits are saving, look out for the confirmation message at the top of the transcript.
Splitting up speaker bands
If you notice that a speaker band in your transcript actually includes the voices of more than one speaker, you can separate that speaker band into two different speakers by first identifying where in the speaker band the first speaker transitions into the second. If you place your cursor right at that transition and press enter, you will create a new speaker band for the second speaker.
After splitting that speaker band into two speakers, you can then change the speaker names as outlined above.
