As the host of an in-person conversation you'll be responsible for recording audio and - after the conversation has concluded - matching those voices to names. You can invite up to seven others to join you for a max number of eight conversation participants.
Creating and recording your conversation:
1. Tap Conversations at the bottom of your screen, or tap the + sign on your community or forum homepage
2. Select Create a Conversation
3. Enter a title and choose which forum the conversation is taking place in. Make sure to select In Person
4. Tap Start Now and you'll be given a four-digit code. Share that code with your participants. Up to seven participants can join you.
5. You should see your lobby fill up as people join. When you're ready to begin, select Begin
You should see a green outline that responds to your phone's microphone
6. Check the list of names to make sure everyone has joined correctly. Click Confirm to begin the recording.
Your phone is the only one recording audio. You should see the same green outline responding to your mic, but now surrounding the oOo button.
7. Conclude the conversation by tapping the icon at the bottom of your screen. Tap End to confirm.
After a conversation has ended
Once your conversation is over, your transcript should return soon! For an hour-long conversation, you can expect your transcript to process within 10 minutes. At that point you'll be responsible for matching voices from the conversation to participant names.
Important Note: During this step, your transcript is locked. That means that no one can create highlights until the host completes this process!
To get started, find the transcript from your Notifications tab or My Activity tab. From there:
1. Tap Start
2. Scroll down to a speaker turn and press play to hear the audio. Once you're sure you know who's speaking, tap their temporary name (like Speaker 1, Speaker 2, etc) and select the correct speaker instead
3. Do this for every participant and tap Done. You and other participants will be able to make more granular corrections on speaker attribution if needed.
Now you're all set to begin creating and sharing highlights! You can learn more about that here: Creating a highlight
